Angry Birds!
Angry Birds project, we created launchers, projectiles, and rebuildable structures. My launcher (a trebuchet) shot a lacrosse ball over 100 feet. Our structure was smaller and had a target in the middle. Shooting the projectile through the target is considered destroying it. My part of the project was the building of the structure. Although I spent most of my time building the structure with my partner, Thomas.
When Our trebuchet has fired the projectile, there is Fapp (applied force) and gravity. When is hits the structure there is normal force, applied force, and gravity. Although it is very hard to hit and/or knock down. I learned how to make a trebuchet, about back and forwards bracing, and how to work well with my partner.
Transfer of Energy
There are many different types of forces, but the types of forces that are in my specific game are; Tension force, normal force, applied force, and gravitational force.
My trebuchet's long throwing arm and sack has tension force in it when it is about to throw.
Normal Force is what is keeping my trebuchet upright.
Gravitational force is keeping my trebuchet on the ground in place.
Applied force is the force of the ball flying through the air and when it hits the target.
