1. WE can display our work at the maker fair by setting up an oculus/vive. Although it will be a small hassle, it will pay off that I'm fairly certain people will come to our station with great enthusiasm. Although for our project, audiences may have a tougher time understanding how we created our 3D model. So for this, I would recommend setting up a laptop showing a collage of the kinds of pictures we took in order to get our model. By showing these pictures, I hope the audience will gain a better understanding of how our 3D model came to be.
2.Dewey's ideas: That learning should be based off thinking and experiences. Teaching students how to think and perceive information is absolutely crucial. I would say the main aspect is experiencing something instead of being told. We have one of the only true 3D projects out of the entire team. So being immersed in this experience definitely plays into Dewey's ideals. 3.Pink: Although people are (for the most part) incentive driven. We should also keep in mind that people want to create and be free to master what ever they want. And that sometimes, giving people leeway to go out and create whatever can potentially help the company more than structured time. Giving students the freedom and means to create something that they are proud of can work in High Tech, and I think should be implemented.

My big celebration is being almost done with all my essays and writing for college apps!
My big moment has been writing application essays. To anyone they are usually easy topic wise. I haven't really heard of someone struggling with their writing topics. I've had to search long and hard for a good topic to write about. After the reading, I feel like I became more conscious of my own online activities. I also became frustrated with various hate group[s, and how Twitter's free speech gives others the tools to pump out hate speech with no consequences. My plan is to keep working hard and not get complacent. Keeping a strong work ethic is the key to success!
I have definitely become a more critical consumer of news. I’ve started to read articles on sites that I would sometimes disagree with. Although, I admit, it is very frustrating for me. But keeping an open mind is the key to being informed… I think. I think everyone needs to branch out and get their news from other places than sites they agree with! What is working well for me is to go of on my own and take pictures for the project. Playing music helps pass the time too when I have to take hundreds of pictures for a single room. The main problem is probably having to take an obscene amount of pictures per room. The solution is to have more people take pictures.
Like I said previously, playing music helps greatly. Since I was working in the freshman commons, music is almost mandatory due to the increased levels of noise. Power words are simple, yet powerful in that they able to convince people and sometimes trick people into giving you what they want. Using big powerful words tends to have a hypnotising effect on people. However, it is not always just the words, having a domination physical presence helps a lot too. The most disturbing thing about Singularity was that most jobs will be gone. I'm afraid because I do not know if that will put people out of work or make people's lives better.
I enjoyed the job fair, it was fun to go into an interview and show my best self to my friends. It was interesting to see my friends deciding who to hire and give me a small view into what the future could possibly look like. I think advertising can be a good thing. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a brand and having a certain cereal be apart of your early childhood memory. If anything it can strengthen the bonds that you have with your past. In addition to that it can create memories. However, I think advertising should be regulated so that they cannot collect personal info and use that to lure unsuspecting children. Hello and welcome to my 12th grade blog. In this blog I'll be talking about my experience so far as a twelfth grader.
In engineering I am learning the basics of Unity, a video game creator engine. So far I've been doing tutorials and getting used to the engine's interface. So far the biggest challenge I've faced is getting used to the interface and Unity itself. I'm learning how to create objects and what centering means in terms of those objects on a plane. My goal for next week is to feel comfortable using unity and to be able to create something on my own. In English we are learning all about propaganda. To me it was astonishing to learn all about the ways people control how we feel using special wording and images. After our lesson in propaganda, I'll hopefully be able to separate myself from this propaganda, and look at things with a less biased viewpoint. For me, I'm starting to ask myself what percentage of everything around us is trying to trick us into believing whatever company wants us to believe. |
